#FreeOurElders and #HaltSolitary Social Media and Call-In Guide

As the legislature is considering measures to address racist state violence, we are demanding they address the racist killing of Black, Latinx, and Native people in prison, including passing the HALT Solitary Confinement Act, Elder Parole, and Fair and Timely Parole. Please use this DAILY social media and call-in guide with graphics from the Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP) Campaign and the #HALTsolitary Campaign to help us pass legislation to #FreeOurElders and #HALTsolitary, in addition to fully repealing 50-a to ensure public access to police disciplinary records. We may have a real shot at getting these measures passed.

Over the next week or two, we will highlight one person a day who has died in prison from racist brutality, torture, or release denials. Please post on social media, make calls, and email Gov Cuomo, Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins, Assembly Speaker Heastie, and your own legislators every day this week.

TAKE ACTION

What To Do Each Day
