Frank Pruitt
Frank Pruitt is a 50-year-old man who has been incarcerated for 31 years. At age 18, Frank Pruitt shot and killed two people during a heated altercation in the Edgemere Projects in Far Rockaway. Frank has spent the past three decades transforming himself from a teenager with anger and impulse problems into a grounded man who inspires those around him to approach life with dignity and calm. After decades without a single incident of violence, Frank was selected to be a peer counselor that coaches other incarcerated people through difficult situations and encourages peaceful outcomes. He runs a weekly bible study. He is a dedicated and beloved husband, father, and brother. He is pictured here with his wife of 15 years, Peggy.
