Paul Clark

Written by Paul’s wife Sheila

My husband, Paul Clark, is 56 years old. He has been in prison for over 38 years, for allegedly committing two murders. He admits to one and the other he has always claimed innocence (Read more here) My husband was sentenced to 58 1/3 years to life, he has been incarcerated since he was 18 years old. In the wake of recent laws being passed for adolescents between the age 16-18 years old when their crimes were committed; the United States Supreme Court acknowledged that juveniles are different from adults, and should not be sentenced to life without parole or have to face life sentences.

Paul Clark, is a husband, a father, a grandfather, an uncle of several nieces and nephews, and the son of an 82 year old elderly woman. It would be great if you granted his clemency because he’ll be able to help with his young grandchildren and watch them grow. Most importantly he will also be able to help take care of his elderly mother, who faces health issues. It is in her best interest to see her son released.

Despite his incarceration, my husband has been a positive influence and mentor to his family and friends, and even has impacted to lives of many incarcerated men. He has received an associates degree in business administration, facilitated Alcohol Anonymous for over 6 years, he’s a plumber assistant, greenhouse laborer, paralegal, welder, medical server in the facility hospital, salvage laborer, teacher’s aide for mental health (ICP), president of church fund-raiser, and an elder in the church who desires to continue in ministry upon release.

We ask that you please sign this petition in support of the decision to grant Paul Clark, executive clemency petition, and allow him to be released as soon as possible.
